The Piererberg-Rundmeile is one of three certified, well-marked routes. At the Lammerbauer wonderful view of the Fölzstein (Hochschwab massif) and at the Pierergut on the Aflenzertal.

From the south: from Kapfenberg on the B20From the north: via Mariazell and the Seeberg on the B20

From the east: Via Semmering on the S6 to Kapfenberg and further on the B20

Across the spa park, past the swimming pool and the movement and coordination park and following the trail number Energiemeilen 1 to the Lammerbauer farm. Crossing the farm via the forest road and meadow to the Holzklangspiel. Continue along the forest road to Holzknechthütte and Pierergut. Descent via the Bürgeralmstrasse into the Bürgergraben and along the stream via the "Österreichhöhe" into the bird trail and Kneipp path. In the Kneipp basin in the Bürgergraben stream, there is an opportunity to cool your hotly walked feet in "stork step". Via the coordination park back to the starting point.

The "Österreichhöhe" is a memorial with display boards and texts on Austrian history with a focus on the "House of Habsburg". Inaugurated by H. E. Bishop Dr. Egon Kapellari on 11.4.2002 in the presence of Dr. Otto Habsburg.

By train to Bruck/Mur station and from there by bus to Aflenz.Line 171 (Bruck/Mur - Aflenz - Turnau) or line 172 (Bruck/Mur - Aflenz - Mariazell).
