This easy hike takes us from Veitsch to the Krieglacher Sommerberg.

The starting point of our hike is Dorfveitsch. The circular route takes us through Niederaigen to Sommerberg, where we reach the Berggasthof Oswaldbauer. From there, we pass by Veiglbauer and Holzer unterm Holz, continuing to Gasthaus Rantsch before returning to our starting point in Dorfveitsch.

S6 Semmering Expressway, exit Mitterdorf. At the roundabout, take the exit towards Veitsch. Follow the road into the Veitscher Valley and turn right at the sign for Dorfveitsch.

Free parking is available at the fire station parking lot in Dorfveitsch.

Starting from the fire station parking lot in Dorfveitsch, we hike towards Niederaigen and then turn left to the Wetterkreuz. We follow the marked trail along a forest road, ascending to the Mirl farm. Continuing on an asphalted road, we reach the Berggasthof Oswaldbauer.

For the return, we follow the same route until the Gregorbauer - Veiglbauer intersection. Here, we turn left towards Veiglbauer and reach the Bachler farm. Continuing on the forest road, we arrive at the "Holzer unterm Holz" Buschenschank.

Our path leads further to Joselbauer, and via Gasthaus Rantsch, we return to our starting point in Dorfveitsch.

Take the train to Mitterdorf station, then take the bus into the Veitscher Valley.
