The tour offers scenic views. The Almgasthaus Schweizeben and the hut at Hochanger are both managed and provide refreshments.

Starting from the Weitental Nature Conservation Center (Bruck Süd), you can hike or cycle through the Pfaffenwald to the Almgasthaus Schweizeben and then continue to the 1,308-meter-high Brucker Hochanger. From the Hochanger, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Hochschwab and the Graz mountain region.

The use of marked cycling routes is permitted from March 1st to November 14th, between one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset, at your own risk.

From Schweizeben, you can also continue on Tour 8 to the Hochanger. There are various options for the descent.

From Vienna:

Take the A2 – Südautobahn and S6 – Semmering Schnellstraße to the Bruck an der Mur exit.
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards Leoben.
After 100 meters, turn left at the first traffic light (sign for "Weitental").
Keep right, go through the railway and highway underpasses, and pass the cemetery. Continue to the parking area at the beginning of Weitental.

From Graz:

Take the A9 – Phyrnautobahn and S35 – Brucker Schnellstraße to the Bruck an der Mur exit.
Follow the same directions as above.

From the West (Linz, Salzburg, Germany):

Take the A9 – Phyrnautobahn and S6 – Semmering Schnellstraße to Bruck West.
At the exit, turn left towards a junction near a furniture store.
Turn right, pass through the Brucker district of Oberaich, and continue towards the previously mentioned roundabout.
At the traffic light, turn right (sign for "Weitental") and follow the same directions as above.

Respectful and Safe Mountain Biking Guidelines

Respect landowners, hunting personnel, and forestry workers.
Be considerate of hikers and pedestrians; overtake only at walking speed.
Ride at a controlled speed within your sight distance.
Be cautious of work machines, logs, potholes, grazing livestock, and vehicle traffic (forest roads are work areas and workplaces).
Cycling off marked routes or outside designated times is illegal.
Follow traffic regulations! Pay attention to road closures and restrictions.

Tips for Safe Mountain Biking:

Check your bike after every ride: tire pressure, spoke tension, and brake pads.
Always wear a helmet on every mountain biking tour.
Prepare your gear in advance:

- Rain and wind protection
- Repair kit
- First-aid kit

From the Hochanger, you can enjoy a fantastic view extending to the Hochschwab and the Graz mountain region.
