From Langenwang over the Feistritzberg to the Malleisten Alm. On the way back, you have the option of cycling the same route or cycling from the Malleisten Alm to Krieglach and on to Langenwang.

From the centre of Langenwang, the tour starts on the R5 Mürztal Cycle Path to Feistritz Castle and continues via the Feistritzgraben to the Malleisten Alm. The descent can either follow the same route or you can opt for the Malleisten - Krieglach variant and cycle back to Langenwang on the R5 Mürztal cycle path.

S6 Semmering motorway, exit Langenwang

We start our tour in the centre of Langenwang and cycle along the main road (Grazer Straße) towards Krieglach. At the ‘Hohenwangstraße’ junction, we turn right and follow the R5 Mürztalradweg signposts. Now we cycle leisurely along the R5 until the turn-off into the Feistritzgraben at Feistritz Castle. We follow the markings of the steadily ascending mountain bike route and finally reach the path to the Malleistenalm, the last section of which is identical to the access road from Krieglach. We can take a long break at the Malleistenalm hut. On the descent, we can choose from 2 options: either the same route back or the descent to Krieglach. Here we follow the route from the Malleisten to Krieglach and - once in the valley - turn left back onto the R5 Mürztal cycle path and follow this until we arrive back in the centre of Langenwang.

Stop off at the Malleistenalm hut

Take the train to Langenwang station.
