This bike & hike tour starts in Kapfenberg and leads via Thörl and Turnau into the alpine landscapes of the Mürzsteger Alps, shaped by centuries of traditional alpine farming. The cycling route combines scenic valley sections with panoramic alpine meadows and traditional mountain settlements. The easy hike connects Turnauer Alm and Rauschalm along a pleasant trail through alpine meadows and forests.

Supported by the Austrian Federal Government, the Province of Styria and the European Union (LEADER).

Starting in Kapfenberg, this bike & hike tour leads via Thörl and Turnau along a scenic route to Turnauer Alm. Gentle valley sections, panoramic alpine meadows and traditional alpine settlements define the character of the cycling tour. The easy hike links two distinctive alpine pastures—Turnauer Alm and Rauschalm—along a pleasant route through beautiful mountain scenery.

Take the S6 Semmering Expressway and exit at Kapfenberg.

If you are continuing by car to Turnau, follow the road through the Thörlgraben Valley from Kapfenberg to Turnau.
