This round takes us from Mariazell through the Ötscher Tormäuer Nature Park and the Pielachtal in Mostviertel back to Mariazellerland.

Via the Westautobahn (A1 from Salzburg or Vienna) to the exit Ybbs or St. Pölten/Süd, then B 20 to Mariazeller Land.

From the south to Bruck/Mur - Kapfenberg, then B 20 over the Seebergpass into Mariazell country.

We start in St. Sebastian and drive along the B20 to Mitterbach. The first ascent to the Josefsberg follows, once in Reith we continue along the B20 to the Puchenstuben junction. Here we turn left onto the B28 and ride over the Wastl (2nd climb) along the forest to Puchenstuben and Winterbach.

Shortly after Winterbach we turn right onto the B39 in the direction of Frankenfels and stay on this route until we reach the Schwarzenbach junction - here we turn right onto the L102 in the direction of Türnitz (3rd climb) and in Türnitz we rejoin the B20 (turn right).

The 4th ascent leads us over the Annaberg, in Sägemühle we turn left onto the L 101 towards Ulreichsberg. In Ulreichsberg we keep right again in the direction of Walster and pass the Hubertussee, following the Rechengraben again on the B 21 - here we turn right and reach Mariazell again via the last climb - the Kreuzberg and continue to St. Sebastian.

A few tips for safe cycling:

Check your bike's air pressure, spoke tension and brake pads after every tour.
A helmet is a must for every bike tour.
Consider in advance what equipment you need to take with you: warm clothing, rain and wind protection, a repair kit and first aid kit should be in your backpack, as well as a charged cell phone.
