Simply. Originally. Living – you can feel the motto of the Quellhütte in this wild and romantic location with every breath.
The Quellhütte is located in Mariazell-Weichselboden at the foot of the Hochschwab in a unique mountain setting, just 100 meters from the gravel beach of the Salza River and directly at the entrance of the 10 km long, secluded Klausgraben Gorge.
Whether in the hanging chair under the ancient ash tree, in the deck chair by the house well, under the starry sky by the campfire, or while taking walks in the surroundings – here you can fully enjoy nature.
For the ambitious, the Quellhütte is an ideal starting point for climbing Hochschwab, Hochstadl, or heading to Graualm.
The spacious attic (70-150m²) is particularly suitable for groups of friends and families of up to 10 people who want to explore the diverse mountain landscape in all directions, because with your booking you receive the “Wilde Wunder Card” for free between May and October.
Due to the central location in the Salzatal, many Wild Wonders excursion destinations are not far away: Mariazeller Bürgeralpe, Wasserlochklamm, rafting at Palfau, Nothklamm, leisure park Landl, or the Mendling Valley. And after your excursions, you can relax in the cozy atmosphere of the attic before the crackling wood stove while cooking and dining together.

These are your booking conditions:
Additionally included services: Wilde Wunder Card (for overnight stays from May to October) during your stay and either on the day of arrival or departure
Optional services/extras that are charged based on consumption: E-charging station (€0.45/kwh), burning and ignition material for wood stove (€10,- / 15kg), campfire (voluntary donation) & grill (charcoal/starter at cost price)
Use of extras at the Quellhütte: The remaining balance is to be settled in cash before departure.
Cancellation conditions: Your booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 28 days before the planned arrival (after that 70% up to 14 days, then 90% of the booking amount). In case of no-show or a reduction in the booking (after the arrival date), 90% of the accommodation price will be charged and the remaining balance will be refunded. For a refund, please send your account information to paul@quellhuette.com.

Check-in from 3:00 PM / Check-out by 11:00 AM
For check-in, please call me about an hour before your arrival. In Weichselboden, drive past the Volksheim and then to the right. Then turn right over the Salza bridge. After a short ascent, turn left into the street and park at the end of the street. The last house on the right side is the Quellhütte.

I got to know and fell in love with the Salzatal in the 1980s through white-water kayaking and instinctively knew that I would one day live here. As it turned out - and I am excited to share this joy of the wild and beautiful nature with my guests and fellow residents in the Quellhütte.
