Enjoy the wonderful, snow-covered landscape in Mariazeller Land on a snowshoe hike up to the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe

Starting from the centre of Mariazell, you first walk along the Rosenkranzweg and then over the Habertheuersattel to the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe, at 1,267 m above sea level. Once on the mountain, you have a beautiful panoramic view of the snow-covered mountains of the Mariazell region.

Culinary delights include an excellent semolina casserole with strawberry sauce, grammel dumplings with sauerkraut or simply a "Jaga tea" at the Edelweißhütte - right next to the summit cross of the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe.

The way back is the same - alternatively, you can end the hike and take the 8-seater cable car back down to the valley.
