The market leader in system catering takes its social, ecological, and economic responsibility seriously and, as the largest catering partner of local agriculture, already sources about 70% of the raw materials used for its entire product range from Austria. This share is continuously being increased.
Specific goals are also being pursued in the area of environmental protection and recycling: In addition to the continuous reduction of CO₂ emissions, waste is collected, separated, and subsequently recycled in over 90% of McDonald’s restaurants in Austria. This year, the proportion of packaging made from paper and cardboard, currently at 91%, will be further increased through new packaging solutions. By 2025, 100% of all guest packaging will come from renewable, recycled, or certified sources.
