Mariazellerbahn

The modern Himmelstreppe train sets on the Mariazell Railway have been in service since 2013. The fleet comprises nine low-floor units. Passenger comfort is assured.

A particular highlight of the Mariazell Railway are the first-class panorama carriages. These are in service on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 1 May until 1 November 2021 und during Advent season.  They captivate with their panorama windows and catering service serving local delicacies.

Meanwhile, you can enjoy the adventure-train Ötscherbär on Saturdays from 1 May until 30 October 2021 and during Advent season and. It is pulled by a more than 100-year-old electric locomotive and captivate with lovely themed journeys for children and families. 

The vintage Mh.6 steam locomotive is also in service on specific dates from Mai to December and during Advent season. Hint: a journey with the historic steam locomotive is especially stunning during Advent season.
