Barrier-free, bright and friendly: after a three-year renovation phase, the station has a new look and is more convenient for rail customers.
The Bruck an der Mur train station is one of the central train stations in Austria and an essential part of the new southern line. It was converted into a customer-friendly and barrier-free train station between 2010 and 2013. As a modern transport hub between rail and bus, its importance for Styria and rail transport in Austria has grown.
The modernization has completely changed the character of the station. From the redesign of the forecourt and the access to the station to the station hall, a new, bright and clear station area has been created. In the track area, the distinctive roofed bridge was used to create a transition over the tracks, which also enables weather-protected access to the car park. And all of this barrier-free, thanks to the installation of elevator systems.
