Since 1987, the Veitscher Border Relay Race, with approximately 54 km, has been conducted as an individual run and relay run along the municipal boundary of St. Barbara in Mürztal, making it one of the oldest trail running events in Austria.

From 2026, this traditional event will be organized by B-TRAIL.Events with additional competitions such as Kids Trail 500m to 1500m, Vertical Race 3.75km and 918+, Easy Trail + Nordic Walking 7.74km and 453+, Speed Trail 16.59km and 1116+, and Skyrace 20.32km and 1922+, alongside the classic Border Relay Race, now as a Marathon Trail with 54km and 2511+.

The event area with the start/finish will be moved directly at the foot of the Hohe Veitsch to the Brunnalm and will feature familiar highlights by B-Trail.Events.
