Historic hut hike in the rugged foothills of the Eastern Alps.
From Reichenau an der Rax (Lower Austria) to Präbichl near Eisenerz (Styria), we experience rustic huts - gigantic views - and pure tranquility.
Hiking along the European and Austrian long-distance trails E4, E6, 01, and 05.
During this adventure, we start with a ride on the oldest cable car in Austria, conquer a multitude of peaks, and marvel at the wonderful flora and fauna. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city or the crowds of mass tourism, we experience breathtaking nature against a beautiful mountain backdrop.

Start: Payerbach-Reichenau train station at 9:45 AM
End: Payerbach-Reichenau train station around 7:30 PM
Note: Please bring cash, as some huts only accept cash payments.
Food: Stopping at restaurants is almost always planned along the way. We still recommend bringing granola bars, dried fruit, nuts, and at least 1 liter of water.
Luggage transport: Additional luggage (approx. 7 kg) will be transported from Reichenau to Veitsch (JUFA) and further to Leoben.
