What keeps us trapped? And what gives us the strength to break free?
Freely based on the fairy tale „Jorinde and Joringel” by the Brothers Grimm, JORINDE tells the story of a community of children who begin to find their own voice. Between temptation, fear, and hope, a music theater emerges about freedom, self-determination, and solidarity.
The opera combines poetic storytelling with questions that go far beyond the fairy tale: How do we preserve our inner freedom? How do we find the courage to take responsibility for our lives? Thus, JORINDE also becomes a facet of that search for the art of living that accompanies the festival.
