We start our hike in the village of Niederalpl and after a short stretch on a forest road, we follow a path that takes us steeply upward through the Rodel, a steep gully, to the Hohe Veitsch. At the Gingatzwiese, we leave the Rodel and first follow a ridge and then the ridge line until we reach the summit of the Hohe Veitsch at 1981 m above sea level. Here we enjoy the stunning view and the packed snack. We hike back to the Gingatzwiese where the path splits, and we follow the path towards Sohlenalm.
On beautiful paths along the mountainside, we reach the Alm, and past an old mine, we arrive at the Niederalpl Passhöhe from where we will take the bus back home.
