The Mürzzuschlag depot:What happened in Heizhausgasse
Mürzzuschlag is inextricably linked to the history of the Southern Railway and the Semmering Railway. As an important starting and support point for operations over the Semmering, a complex depot developed here in the 19th century that was much more than just a place to park locomotives. Workshops, supply facilities, and technical installations made the Mürzzuschlag depot a centerpiece of the railway operations of the Semmering Railway.
