Aufstrudln: The Kapfenberg Autumn Delicacy Festival
The Kapfenberg Main Square and Grazer Street will transform into a festival of culinary delights and experiences for the whole family. Under the motto "Aufstrudl’n," everything revolves around fine cuisine, Styrian traditions, live music, and plenty of interactive stations.
Come by, sample the sweet and savory variations from our market vendors, bakers, and gastronomy businesses, and celebrate the golden autumn with us right in the heart of Kapfenberg!
Highlights & Program:
Farmers' Market & Strudel Street (from 6:30 a.m.): Fresh regional products, guest performance by Hierzer Hansi and a diverse Strudel mile.
Official Opening of the Festival (10:00 a.m.): Ceremonial cutting of the Strudel by the mayor with musical and dance accompaniment
Strudel Blind Tasting & Gastro Specials: Discover award-winning Strudel creations from local bakeries and guest gardens
Wine, Beer & Mead Tastings: Regional specialties from Tom & Harry, Mürztal Bräu, Stadlober, Ornigg, and Schicker
Live Music from Garden to Garden: Performances by the Trachtenverein Floninger as well as traditional sounds from the Styrian String Quartet and Harald Trippl with students
Large Children's & Family Program (10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.): Face painting with the children's friends Kapfenberg (in the passage multi-purpose hall), autumn wreath binding, candle making, farm bowling, can tossing, and folk dance participation activities
