The big peace concert
As part of the opening weekend of the Mariazell Advent event, Mariazell makes a striking statement for peace and solidarity: In the unique atmosphere of the Basilica of Mariazell, start tenor Paolo Scorianò, the Belcanto Youth Orchestra and the GIBS Student Children's Choir create a festive concert full of sound, emotion, and hope.
The program features international Christmas classics, touching peace songs, and traditional Austrian Advent and Christmas music – a musical connection between a global message and regionally rooted tradition. The impressive light show additionally transforms the basilica into a special experiential space, giving the concert an extraordinary atmosphere.
The concert will be recorded by ORF, highlighting the special significance of this musical highlight of the Mariazell Advent.
