25 years ago, the Styrian Christian Hölbling emigrated to Carinthia and, despite his persistent cheekiness, still has no residence ban there.
As a Styrian-Carinthian dual citizen, Hölbling has a pumpkin-seed oil-colored green card, which allows him to travel in both federal states. The reason for his journey is the absurd question: Which federal state is better – Styria or Carinthia? Coincidentally, the journey with the Koralmbahn back and forth takes just as long as a cabaret program. Every hole has two sides. And Christian Hölbling knows both sides and takes them delightfully to task.
With a lovingly biting gaze, the chosen Carinthian illuminates the peculiarities of his Styrian roots, the quirks of his Carinthian chosen home – and the absurd in-betweens. The result is an evening that is as delicious as a cheese dumpling with pumpkin seed oil: unusual, hearty, a little quirky – but absolutely worth biting into.
