What guests can look forward to
Wildalpen in the Styrian Salza Valley—a paradise for whitewater enthusiasts! Wildalpen is the perfect place to embark on a rafting, kayaking, or river buggy tour. The Austrian capital, Vienna, is supplied with drinking water from the Hochschwab region, and it’s highly recommended to take a good swig of water right at its source in Wildalpen. A visit to the HochQuellenWasser Wildalpen Museum is well worth it; you can also book a guided tour to the Kläffer Spring there.
Rugged, towering rock faces, dotted with colorful alpine flowers and teeming with wildlife, make Wildalpen a true natural wonder. In Wildalpen, you’ll find a beautifully laid-out network of running and walking trails, a leisurely mountain bike route, and the Arzberg Cave. You can warm up in the Wildalpen forest sauna, which offers direct access to the mountain stream right next door. Overnight stays under the open sky are possible at several campgrounds in Wildalpen. In the summer, you can visit the Hinterwildalpen forest swimming area, and in the winter, there’s a ski lift facility with two lifts and a cross-country ski trail. Accommodations are available at hotels, inns, private rooms, and self-catering options.
