Cross-country skiing trails in Ausseerland

Finding tracks to happiness is especially easy for cross-country skiing enthusiasts in Ausseerland. Beginners and experienced cross-country skiers choose from the wide range of trails:

  • Leisurely cross-country trails with small differences in altitude can be found in Bad Aussee, Altaussee and Bad Mitterndorf.
  • Challenging trails on Tauplitz are also used by Olympic and world champions for exercising purposes.
  • The "Gößler Loipe" at the Grundlsee is challenging and beautiful at the same time. The challenging section across the “Gößler” meadows is rewarded with beautiful views of Lake Grundlsee - also known as the "Styrian Sea" - and the crystal-clear Lake Toplitz.

All cross-country trails have one thing in common: they offer magnificent views of the multifaceted Ausseerland. And best of all: cross-country skiers enjoy brilliant sunshine from early to late.
