Austria’s Longest Circular Cycling Route

The Vulcania300 is Austria’s longest continuous circular cycling route. Stretching over 300 kilometres and away from busy roads, it takes cyclists through 30 municipalities in the Thermen- & Vulkanland in southeastern Styria.

Wherever you see Vulcania300, you can be sure of one thing: it’s 100% Thermen- & Vulkanland. 300 kilometres, 4,000 metres of elevation gain, 30 municipalities and five spa towns - Bad Waltersdorf, Bad Loipersdorf, Bad Blumau, Bad Gleichenberg and Bad Radkersburg - await in the sun-drenched Thermen- & Vulkanland Styria. From long-extinct volcanic cones and challenging climbs to popular attractions, this sporty circular cycling route is particularly suited to cyclists who love a challenge.

Sporty cyclists can complete the route in three, two or even just one day. As a reward for the many short but challenging climbs, breathtaking views and countless places to stop for a break await, offering delicious regional specialities along the way.

The detailed route information for the Vulcania300 is provided after booking the starter package. In addition to the exact route, the package includes a goodie bag with vouchers and gifts. Cyclists can also order a gold, silver or bronze trophy if they wish.

vulcania300 - the varieties

Full speed ahead, sporty or leisurely - the tour can be completed in three different ways: as a one-, two- or three-day tour. Six stamp stations along the route provide extra motivation and serve as proof of your achievement. To be included on the official finisher list, cyclists must complete the route within the specified time limit for their chosen option. Simply present your fully stamped card at your accommodation, and you’ll be officially recognised as a finisher.
