From the starting point at the Agricola fountain in Hatzendorf, we walk past the train station in a northerly direction. Now we walk uphill through the forest, past the Oetschikopf to Pfandl. Through the forest and then along a connecting road back to Hatzendorf. Along the way, there are various stations set up by the rural youth to give hikers an understanding of the forest habitat. There is an insect hotel along the way to protect beneficial insects.

High-speed railroad 3 from Graz to Fehring every hour. From Wiener Neustadt direct connections with the Südbahn via Fürstenfeld to Hatzendorf.
