More information
It starts right on Hauptstraße (Hauptstraße 2a) in front of the tourist information centre. You are welcome to pick up a leaflet there. The first stop is the Dornbrunnen. The thorns represent the important places in Fürstenfeld. The route continues to the ‘Schloss am Stein’, the parish church, the main square, the town hall, through the Grazer Tor to the Augustinerkirche. It then follows Klostergasse to the highlight of the town tour, the Pfeilburg. The Pfeilburg is the oldest building in the town. It houses the museum, which provides a platform for topics of great significance to the history of Fürstenfeld and Styria, such as tobacco, prehistoric and early historical finds, the town’s history and unique collections. Starting at the Pfeilburg, you can explore the town’s fortress trail.
The main square is the perfect place to take a break. The Marienbrunnen fountain offers an impressive water feature to accompany three pieces of music.
