Pranger St. Anna/A. organic vegetable farm

St. Anna/Aigen

Located on the Jammberg in St. Anna am Aigen, the Pranger family grows vegetables in all shapes and colors on their organic farm. Pickled specialties and a vegetable delivery service - in the form of the organic box - are also offered.

Organic Pioneers
As early as 1990, Anita and Werner Pranger made a strong statement by converting their vegetable farm to certified organic practices, making a clear commitment to organic farming and careful management of soil and plants. The Pranger family completely renounces chemical-synthetic plant and fertilizer products. In the greenhouses, they primarily grow cocktail tomatoes, garden tomatoes, pepperoni, lamb's lettuce, lettuce heads, kohlrabi, rare vegetables, bell peppers, and cucumbers. Cabbage, zucchini, beets, radishes, leeks, fennel, and onions grow outdoors.

TIP: An organic young plant market is held annually in spring. A selection of tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchinis, cucumbers, herbs, and salad plants for your home garden is offered.

It's Getting Serious: Treasures in a Jar
Apart from crisp vegetables in all colors, shapes, and varieties, the Prangers also offer vegetable treasures in jars at their organic farm at Jammberg in St. Anna am Aigen - equally diverse in color and flavor variety. Everything can be delivered fresh or pickled with the BIOKISTE to your home, or purchased directly at the farm. By the way: You will have to find out for yourself why young farmer Sabrina Pranger names her organic pepperoni "Magic Elixir," her organic beets "Autumn Joy," and her organic bell peppers "Life Energy" when you taste them. One thing is certain: You will enjoy them!

Farm Tours with the Prangers
During a farm tour with Anita and Werner Pranger, you will learn everything about the operation, the farm, plants, soil, culture, management, crop rotation, cultivation methods, soil organisms, nature, and organic farming practices. During a field walk, you will gather expert knowledge and communicate with the organic farmers about distribution channels, sales, and of course, their philosophy.
