Gölles - Manufactory for fine brandy & fine vinegar

At the Gölles Manufactory, at the foot of the historic Riegersburg, high-quality vinegars and distillates have been produced for over 40 years. For several generations, the Gölles family has cultivated their orchards in the Styrian hill country. Only the best and ripest fruits, especially old, almost forgotten varieties, are used for vinegar and noble distillate production. For example, Saubirnen, Kriecherl, Hauszwetschken, and Maschansker apples are cultivated and processed at Gölles.

Highlight
The highlight of Gölles production is the Apple Balsamic Vinegar, invented by Alois Gölles in the 1980s. Inspired by his stay in Modena, he developed a balsamic vinegar made from apples that is now appreciated worldwide in top gastronomy.

The Experience Tour
On the experience tour, you enter the interactive orchard, Austria's largest vinegar barrel cellar, the distillery, and the sensory tunnel. At the different stations, you will learn interesting facts about the production and storage of the products. Discover everything about the origins of the family business, the people behind it, the management of resources, and the value creation of the products. Of course, the vinegars and noble distillates can be extensively tasted.

From May 1st to October 31st individual visitors have the opportunity to participate in a personal guided tour . These take place on Fridays at 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. . Regular individual prices apply. A reservation via email or phone is required.
