Burgau

The market town of Burgau with its charming townscape and the moated castle as a landmark is located in the south-eastern part of the Styrian district of Hartberg-Fürstenfeld close to the border with Burgenland.

Situated at an altitude of 275 metres above sea level, Burgau is characterised by a mild climate. The municipality covers an area of 19.99 square kilometres. The market town has 1,088 inhabitants (as at the end of 2023).
