The small Raabklamm also shows its beautiful side from the hiking direction from Oberdorf to Stoffmühle. You can take a leisurely walk along the Raab and enjoy the beautiful landscape. The small Raabklamm gorge is a popular destination especially for families. But it is also perfect for a leisurely run or walk. In winter there are also many opportunities to have a little snowball fight, snow angels or other games with children in the snow. The small Raabklamm offers everything you could wish for a relaxing family afternoon.

The district capital of Weiz is located in eastern Styria and is very easy to reach via the A2 motorway from Vienna (approx. 1.5 hours) and Graz (approx. 30 minutes).

Arrival from Vienna and Graz:On the A2 coming from Vienna and coming from Graz, take motorway exit 161 / Gleisdorf West in the direction of B54/B64. Follow the B65 / Gleisdorfer Bundesstraße until you reach the B54 / Wechselbundesstraße. At the roundabout, take the second exit north to the B64 / Rechberg-Bundesstraße. After approx. 15 km you will reach the town of Weiz.
If you would like to enter the Kleine Raabklamm in Oberdorf, take the B72 in the direction of Graz for about 5km until you reach Oberdorf near Mitterorf an der Raab.

Free parking is available at the municipal office in Mitterdorf and in Oberdorf.

Our hiking route begins at the Oberdorf car park near Mitterdorf.
From here we go directly to our hiking trail next to the Raabklamm gorge.
We always keep to the same path and follow the Raab.
As soon as we reach the first crossroads, we keep to the left and follow the Raab in the direction of the Stoffmühle.
At the Stoffmühle we turn around and go back the same way.

A few tips on correct and fair behavior in the forest: (Source: www.bundesforste.at )

Hikers should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time.
Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any garbage in the forest.
Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest!
In principle, every person in the forest is allowed to collect 2 kg of mushrooms and berries per day for their own use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it.
