Walking along the old Roman road, you will not only find beautiful viewpoints, but also many mushrooms and berries.

The Tota Magos Trail is a circular trail that starts from the children's playground in the center of the village. This Nordic walking route is the longest of three different trails that together form the Wenigzell Nordic Walking Center. Taster courses are offered here as well as longer, accompanied Nordic walking tours.

Wenigzell is located in the Joglland mountains in the north-east of Styria.

By car:
From Vienna: A2, exit Pinggau-Friedberg, Rohrbach, Mönichwald, Waldbach - Wenigzell.

From Graz: via the A2, exit Gleisdorf, Kaindorf, Pöllau, Schloffereck, Kreuzwirt - Wenigzell.

From Salzburg: via the S6, exit Mitterdorf, Krieglach, Alpl, Ratten - Wenigzell.

We start at the children's playground in Wenigzell
We walk leisurely in the direction of the barefoot park/cemetery
After a few kilometers the forest begins and we walk to the wayside shrine of the "Dead Man".
Now we walk along the Römerstraße in the direction of the Kreuzwirt until we reach the Bergler Stub'n
Passing the Walddörfl and the cemetery, we return to the children's playground - our starting poin

A few tips on correct and fair behaviour in the forest: (Source: www.bundesforste.at )

Hikers should avoid visits to the forest about 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active during this time.

Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any rubbish in the forest.

Camping and lighting fires are strictly forbidden in the forest!

In principle, every person is allowed to pick 2 kg of mushrooms and berries per day for personal use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it.

Before starting the hike, check the possibilities for refreshments, including opening times, or pack appropriate food and drink.
