Fantastic road bike tour starting from Pernegg along the Mur Cycle Path and back via the Eibeggsattel pass.

With a view of Pernegg Castle, the tour starts along the Mur Cycle Path to Bruck an der Mur. It continues on the R5 Mürztal Cycle Path to Kapfenberg and past St. Marein im Mürztal. Via the Eibeggsattel and St. Jakob-Breitenau, the route finally leads back to Pernegg.

Start: Pernegg Frauenkirche Murradweg R2 to Bruck an der Mur From Bruck an der Mur train station, follow the Mürztalradweg R5 cycle path to Allerheiligen im Mürztal Turn right at Jasnitzstraße and follow this road to the Eibeggsattel Pass over the Eibeggsattel to St. Jakob -Breitenau Turn right onto Breitenauer Straße and follow it to Mautstatt At Mautstatt, rejoin the Mur Cycle Path R2 and follow it to Pernegg

Don't forget all your equipment (repair kit, first aid kit, etc.)!

Avoid noise and garbage!
Use the cycle paths at your own risk!

Beware of working machines, wood or potholes on the road, grazing livestock and vehicle traffic (forest roads are working areas and workplaces)! A few tips on correct and fair behavior: Cycling and mountain biking in the forest (oesterreich.gv.at)

Cyclists should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time.

Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any garbage in the forest.

Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest!
