- Arrival from Vienna and from Graz:
On the A2 coming from Vienna and from Graz, take motorway exit 161 / Gleisdorf West in the direction of B54/B64. Follow the B65 / Gleisdorfer Bundesstraße until you reach the B54 / Wechselbundesstraße. At the roundabout, take the second exit north to the B64 / Rechberg-Bundesstraße. After approx. 15 km you will reach the town of Weiz.
- From Graz via the main road: Take Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai and Wickenburggasse to Jahngasse / B67a. Follow the B72 to Weiz and take the exit towards Weiz -West.
In St. Kathrein there are car parks at the entrance to the village or at the Kathreinerhaus.
- The tour starts from St. Kathrein/Offenegg and runs through Oberriegel and Unterriegel.
- The path continues to the right at the crossroads up over the Weizbach stream onto Rechbergerstraße.
- After the sharp left-hand bend, the path leads us off the main road onto the Haufenreithweg.
- We ride through the village of Haufenreith and stay on the Haufenreithweg until we reach the Gösserweg.
- From here we pass the village of Dürntal with its two well-known show caves (Grasslhöhle and Katerloch).
- We stay on the Gösserweg and continue in the direction of Haselbach bei Weiz.
- Now we continue on the Katerlochweg through the village of Leska.
- When we reach the main road, we keep left and continue along Grazer Straße in the direction of Weiz.
- Shortly after the Hofbauer country park, which can be seen on the left-hand side, we reach the main square in Weiz.
- Plan your tour carefully!
- Check your bike before you set off!
- Always ride with the right protective equipment!
- Always ride with a helmet!
- Don't forget all your equipment (repair kit, first aid kit, etc.)!
- Only ride on marked paths!
- Observe the road traffic regulations!
- Observe driving bans and keep to opening times!
- Control your speed!
- Do not leave any tracks!
- Respect other nature users!
- Show consideration for animals (ride in daylight & close pasture fences)!
- Avoid noise and garbage!
- Use the cycle paths at your own risk!
- Beware of working machines, wood or potholes on the road, grazing livestock and vehicle traffic (forest roads are working areas and workplaces)!

Sporty clothing is required! Bicycle helmet! Elbow and knee pads if necessary, back and shin protectors, mountain bike shoes
- A first aid kit is always included.
- A basic set of tools and accessories - such as spare inner tube, repair kit, wrench/puller, air pump - never hurts.
- Don't forget rain protection, sunglasses and a water bottle, as well as
- Bike map, pocket knife, headlamp, cell phone holder for the handlebars if necessary, reflectors
There are plenty of places to stop for a well-deserved break along the route.
