The hike leads from Pischelsdorf am Kulm through the rolling hills of Eastern Styria. Along the Geierwand, beautiful panoramic views of Herberstein Castle and Lake Stubenberg open up time and again. Passing through the village of Stubenberg, the trail continues into the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park, home to the historic market town of Pöllau and its impressive
“Styrian St. Peter’s Basilica.” Following scenic trails, the route leads past St. Anna Church up to the Ringkogel. From there, the final descent takes you to the district capital of Hartberg with
its charming old town.

Plan your stages in advance and book your accommodations well in advance so you can enjoy your hike in a relaxed and stress-free manner.
Stay on marked trails. If you can no longer find any markings, turn back and reorient yourself using the last marked point.
The forest belongs to someone, too! Respect barriers and follow instructions.
Adjust your pace. Walking too fast leads to premature exhaustion.
