A beautiful, gentle and calm snowshoeing tour for athletic snowshoeing beginners, takes you to discover Ramsau’s “Rössing” district with traditional refreshment stops.

From the starting point, walk towards Ramsau Rössing. Across idyllic forest trails and the snow-covered fields to the Farmhouse Bakery Rössingerhof. To get back, you will follow alongside the xc trail to Lodenwalker. From there, a steady uphill section will take you back to your starting point.

This snowshoeing tour follows the purple snow pole markings in open terrain.

From the west:

Tauern Autobahn (A 10) to Knoten Ennstal - turnoff direction Graz/Schladming - stay on the Ennstal-Bundesstraße (B320) for approx. 20 km until Schladming - take the turnoff for Ramsau.

From the north:

Pyhrn Autobahn (A 9) direction Liezen - take the Ennstal-Bundesstraße (B320) to Schladming - turnoff Ramsau.

This snowshoeing tour starts from the parking lot at the Old Mill in Ramsau Rössing. Following idyllic forest trails heading east, down to the Jausenstation Fliegenpilz. From there, continue above the road until you cross the Silberkarklamm parking lot and follow a short forest trail, on the other side of the brook, until you get back onto the Rössingstrasse. Cross the street and walk parallel to the xc trail until you reach the Farmhaus Bakery “Rössingerhof“ (open from 6/1/21 to 1/4/21 Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 5 pm). The way back is alongside the xc trail (steep descents at parts) until you reach the Lodenwalker. There, you will cross the street and bridge down to Almstube “Schlatinger”. From there, a steady incline will take you back to the Old Mill.
