Motorcycle tour through Eastern Styria

• St. Ruprecht an der Raab, more precisely the restaurant Locker & Legére, is the starting point of today’s Vespa tour. From here, we will discover the beauty of Austria’s Garden!

• We begin our ride towards Unterfladnitz and continue to Etzersdorf. In spring, we visit the Snowdrop Meadow (Schneeglöckerlplatz), a natural wonder where countless snowdrop flowers bloom across a forest clearing.

• Our journey continues to Puch bei Weiz, right in the heart of the Styrian Apple Road. Here, the Gasthaus Eitljörg, with its idyllic garden terrace, invites us to enjoy a piece of homemade pastry. With the GenussCard, visitors can explore one of the many fruit farms in the region free of charge and learn interesting facts about apples. Recommended stops include the Wilhelm Specialty Distillery (tip: featuring a beautiful farm shop), Obstbau Pangerl, and the House of Apples. The Höfler Garden Center is also well worth a visit!
• We continue on to Höfling and make our way up to the Kulm.

• Via a mountain road, we soon reach the viewing platform and the paragliding launch site. From here, we enjoy a magnificent panorama over Austria’s Garden, especially overlooking Lake Stubenberg.

• The Kulm Celtic Village open-air museum can be visited free of charge with the GenussCard.

• Our route now takes us to St. Johann bei Herberstein. A visit to Herberstein Zoo and Herberstein Castle is a must when traveling through Eastern Styria. The animals live in spacious, natural enclosures, and visitors can stroll through beautifully landscaped grounds and unspoiled nature. The castle, with its magnificent rose garden, is equally worth seeing.

• We continue to Schielleiten Castle and take a walk through its beautiful castle gardens.

• The ride continues via Vockenberg, Obertiefenbach, and Untertiefenbach to Kaindorf and Hartberg. A stroll through the historic old town and a visit to the Hartberg City Museum are additional highlights of our motorcycle tour.

• We set off again and continue through Maria Lebing, Oberpuch, Unterbuch, Geiseldorf, Sebersdorf, and Bad Waltersdorf to Großsteinbach. Here, you will find a beautifully landscaped swimming lake with a restaurant.

• The famous Snake's Head Fritillary Meadow is also located here!

• Our journey then continues to Pischelsdorf, where GenussCard 

holders can visit the Fischerauer Vinegar Manufactory. Here, you can sample a variety of delicious vinegars with different flavors!

We now continue to Großpesendorf and leave the main road at Prebuch. The return journey takes us along the Eastern Styrian Roman Wine Route, passing apple orchards and vineyards.

We drive on to Kühwiesen and Wollsdorf, where we conclude our tour with a visit to the Steirerkraft Kernothek pumpkin seed oil mill. With the GenussCard, a guided tour and tasting are included free of charge.

Our destination, St. Ruprecht an der Raab, is already close by, and so a wonderful motorcycle excursion comes to an end.
