Almost flat hiking trail without difficulties with a length of about 5 km.

You walk almost level, first on the municipal road, through the upper part of Markt Vorau, until you turn into Kammerholz, a quiet piece of forest (insider tip: Schwammerlwald). Then you return to Markt Vorau.

Vorau is located in the East Styrian hill country at an altitude of between 470 and 1248 meters.

By car:
From Vienna: A2 exit Pinggau - Rohrbach-Vorau

From Graz: A2 exit Pinkafeld or Hartberg - Rohrbach - Vorau

We start either from the Sparkasse in Vorau or the town hall just above and follow the marked trail no. 5 to the Faustmann Cross
Then we turn left towards Riegersberg. At the next fork in the road, we turn right into Kammerholz, keep going in the same direction and come to the Haberlerkreuz
There you can make a detour to the Kuchlbauer cider farm.
Afterwards, we walk back to Vorau.

We recommend a visit to Vorau Abbey and the open-air museum.
