This HWW cycle route is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW), which tells the story of Wechselland along more than 100 HWW stations. More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at.

This HWW cycle route (circular cycle route) leads from Lafnitz via St. Ilgen to Eichberg and back to Lafnitz via Rohrbach/Lafnitz. Along the HWW cycle route you come to the HWW station Weingraben 1, where you learn that the Wechselland was once also a wine-growing region.

Arrival by car

Drive along the A2 highway to the Pinkafeld exit.
Then follow the signs to Grafenschachen.
Continue to Neustift an der Lafnitz and Lafnitz.

There are parking spaces at the municipal office in Lafnitz.

The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.

Use the cycle paths at your own risk!
Beware of working machines, wood or potholes on the road, grazing livestock and vehicle traffic (forest roads are working areas and workplaces)!
