The flower village of Miesenbach in the Styrian Joglland is the starting point for this tour to Birkfeld.
On a leisurely tour from Miesenbach to Birkfeld, there are numerous magnificent viewpoints to marvel at. The tour can be ridden as a circular tour (Miesenbach - Birkfeld), as a connection to the Feistritztalradweg R8 or as a municipal route to Strallegg (Miesenbach - Birkfeld - Strallegg). No matter which option you choose, nothing stands in the way of a leisurely cycle tour.

The municipality, which covers around fifteen square kilometers, is located on a gently rising terrace in the East Styrian mountains and hills.
By car:
From Vienna: via the A2 to the Pinggau exit, then follow the B54 towards Hartberg to Rohrbach a. d. Lafnitz; continue via Riegersberg to Vorau to Miesenbach
 
From Graz: via the A2 to the Gleisdorf West exit; then follow the B64 towards Weiz; continue on the B72 via Nöstl and Birkfeld to Miesenbach

Use the cycle paths at your own risk!

Beware of working machines, wood or potholes on the road, grazing livestock and vehicle traffic (forest roads are working areas and workplaces)! A few tips on correct and fair behavior: Cycling and mountain biking in the forest (oesterreich.gv.at)

Cyclists should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time.

Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any garbage in the forest.

Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest!
