Pleasant winter hike with a clear view of the idyllic village of Fischbach.

A leisurely winter walk - always with a wonderful view of the high-altitude climatic health resort of Fischbach and the Joglland-Waldheimat region.
The path is always cleared (as it is the access road to the houses and farms) and is therefore also ideal for strollers. The return route follows the same hiking trail.

More information

From Vienna via the A2 Südautobahn highway and the S6 Semmering expressway to the Kindberg exit. Here through the Stanzertal valley on the Schanzsattel-Landesstraße L114 to Fischbach.

From Graz via the Weizer-Bundesstraße B72 to Birkfeld and from here via the Schanzsattel-Landesstraße L114 to Fischbach.

From Linz/Salzburg/Munich via the Pyhrnautobahn A9 and the Semmering-Schnellstraße S6 to the Kindberg exit. Continue as above.

Starting from the village square in Fischbach, we walk through the village slightly uphill towards the north, passing Veronika's herb farm.
After this we turn right towards Glatzhofer on path no. 7
We follow this path, passing old farmhouses and enjoying the wonderful view of the mountain spa town of Fischbach and the wintry landscape of Eastern Styria
After a short break at the Glatzhofer farm, we walk back along the same hiking trail.

Bring your binoculars—there are great views in Eastern Styria!
