This round leads from Passail in the Almenland Nature Park out to Arzberg, first along the Raab and then along the Moder. We go back over the Hundsberg with a beautiful view.

The idyllic Arzberg is not only an old mining village, but also the starting point for hikes in the Große Raabklamm. The Raab rises at the foot of the Osser, above Passail, then flows through Eastern Styria and finally flows into the Danube near Györ in Hungary.

This round follows the Raab from the town center out to Arzberg. The rest of the route then leads along the Moder to the junction at the waste collection center and up to the Hundsberg. We then return to the starting point along the cemetery and past the market square.

A nice lap exclusively on asphalt, also suitable as a short hike!

Start: Middle school in Passail, SAM shared taxi station: WZ3327/ Schools Passail

We start down to the left, past the Raabursprunghalle, and reach the Raab.
After crossing the Raab we turn left.
We walk along the Raab on the Raabweg to the center of Arzberg.
There we turn right and walk to the bridge near the Jakobi Chapel.
We keep right and now walk on Gollerstrasse and mostly along Moder.
Shortly after the waste collection center we turn right up into Kernbichlerweg.
We walk past a small chapel up to the crossroads.
Here we keep half left and change onto Unterpirchastraße.
We walk down to the intersection near the cemetery and turn left into Wiedenbergstrasse.
Before the end of the cemetery wall we turn left and walk around the Kamillusheim.
Past the SPAR market we reach the federal road/B64.
Always on the sidewalk of the main road, we walk through the town center back to the middle school.

Safety instructions

Choose your running route carefully so that you can get home safely.
If you are running alone, let someone you trust know where you are running and when you want to be home.
Make sure you have good visibility (reflectors, safety vest) when running at dusk or at night.
Be careful and pay attention to other road users, especially when traveling on roads.
