Cycle comfortably along apple orchards through ApfelLand and experience the beautiful landscape of the East Styrian hills. Culinary delights await you.

This cycle tour takes us to the center of the Styrian Apple Road - to the apple village of Puch.

The apple trees are in full bloom between April and mid-May, wrapping themselves in a cloud of white and pink foam. We take the R8 either from Stubenberg or Anger to Unterfeistritz. From here we take the WZ16 to Puch bei Weiz. We have already earned a rest there. Perhaps someone would like to listen to the organ sounds of the Puch parish church via audio guide:

ApfelLand is located in the heart of Eastern Styria, approx. 60 km north-east of Graz and approx. 140 km south of Vienna

By car

Coming from Vienna:

Via the Südautobahn (A2) to the Hartberg exit - via the main road (B54) in the direction of Graz - 2 km after Kaindorf in the direction of Graz, turn off in the direction of ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee- Lebing- Unterfeistritz

Coming from Salzburg/Germany:

Highway via Salzburg - Pyhrnautobahn (A9) to Graz - continue via the Südautobahn in the direction of Vienna (A2) to the Gleisdorf West exit - main road (B54) to Kaibing - ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee- Lebing- Unterfeistritz

In Unterfeistritz at the sports field

We start this cycle tour on the Feistritztalradweg R8 in Unterfeistritz, along the Feistritz to the Bauer sawmill. After approx. 500 m, we turn right and then follow the signs for WZ 16, taking us directly to the "apple village" of Puch bei Weiz.

Now the trail leads us along little-used municipal roads past many beautiful orchards of the apple country to Regerstätten.

Here we have the following

connection options: Take the Raabtal cycle path R11 to Weiz or Gleisdorf-Jennersdorf and take the train back.
