Deep in the quiet mine, one can learn a lot about the arduous and wondrous life of the miners in past centuries. The journey through Raabstollen, Gesenke, and Erbstollen at a pleasant 10 °C showcases this tough working world. From today's perspective, the Schaustollen Arzberg is also interesting – a seismographic station in the mountain can measure distant earth movements, and next door, in the "Franz-Leopold-Stollen," cheese wheels mature to perfection.
Good footwear and a jacket are required. Following the tour, the local history and folk museum can be visited.
