Smokehouse: Guided tour
General Information
Experience the way of life and culture of the mountain farmers and craftsmen of the past.
For centuries, this farmhouse has remained unchanged.
The smoking room is fully furnished and is still heated for cooking and smoking.
Then, pieces of marinated meat hang in the smoke under the pitch-black wooden ceiling.
Occasionally, we also cook the “Häfennigl” for our guests over the open hearth fire.
The originally preserved furnishings, painted chests, tools of the farmers, shingle and thatch roofers, the cooper, shoemaker, tailor, and weaver, as well as old pictures and documents allow a glimpse into the past.
Over 300 exhibits tell stories of joy and sorrow from ancient times.
The guided tour with tasting is free with the GenussCard. You can find all information about the GenussCard at www.genusscard.at
