Smokehouse: Guided tour
General Information
Experience the way of life and culture of the mountain farmers and craftsmen of the past.
For centuries, this farmhouse has remained unchanged.
The smoke room is fully furnished and is still used for cooking and smoking.
Then, under the pitch-black wooden ceiling, pieces of marinated meat hang in the smoke.
Occasionally, we also cook the "Häfennigl" for our guests over the open hearth.
The originally preserved furnishings, painted boxes, tools of farmers, shingle and straw roofers, coopers, cobblers, tailors, and weavers, as well as old pictures and documents, give a glimpse into the past.
Over 300 display pieces tell stories of joy and sorrow from earlier times.
