From fish farming to the finished dish!
At the Karl-Wirt inn, the Almenland fish are bred in the inn's own fish ponds and then processed. It doesn't matter whether it's ready-made fish or fish fillet or smoked on a plate: here you can buy the fish from the farm or enjoy it directly on site. On a guided tour you first go to the fish ponds where the rainbow trout are bred without genetic engineering. Then it goes on to the smokehouse, where it is explained what is needed for perfect fish smoking. The conclusion is the tasting of the smoked fish.
The Almenland fish tour can also be combined with a guided tour through the Mühlental in St. Kathrein am Offenegg.
Children can use the pedal go-karts and the playground free of charge during the tour! There is also much more to see and discover at the "Karl-Wirt": the bouncy castle paradise, large playground, room gun shooting, 3 bowling lanes and much more!
