The ruin Waxenegg is one of the most important cultural monuments of the upper Feistritz valley.
The association "Mystische Unter & Oberwelten der Region Anger" has the goal to preserve this.

The name of the castle refers to its location and means something like Scharfenegg ("wax" in the sense of "sharp" is still used colloquially today).
