The exhibition room is located in the Waldlturm within the monastery grounds and includes numerous archaeological finds from the immediate and surrounding areas of the Augustinian Canonry of Vorau, as well as the earth cellars and underground passageways.
Unique exhibits such as the “Dragon Relief” or Neolithic stone axes are displayed together with many other finds in the showcases . These ancient testimonies of earlier cultures transport the visitor into the history of the northeastern Styrian area that dates back thousands of years. The focus is on the underground structures and the remains of megalithic cultures in the region.
