The Styrian Apple Road
In 1986, around 40 farmers came together to form the association "Steirische Apfelstraße". The main idea was to strengthen the economic power of the region and to bring the wonderful area of local fruit cultivation closer to all people.
Thus, the approximately 25-kilometer-long Apple Road was created, which begins near Gleisdorf on the Wechselbundesstraße (B54) and extends over five municipalities.
A great variety is offered: fresh fruit, cider, apple juice, brandies, and various apple products. For your culinary enjoyment, there are Buschenschänke and good gastronomic establishments. The center of fruit cultivation is Puch bei Weiz.
Whether you travel the Apple Road during the blossom or harvest season, it will always be a delightful experience.
