Picknicking in the Castle Park Pöllau

Here you can expect not only a wonderful view of Pöllau Castle, the former Augustinian Canons' Monastery, but also relaxation in nature. Almost the whole year you can admire what Mother Nature has to offer here. The Augustinian Canons who resided here knew that too, as the castle park was once the recreational area of the monks.

The perfect place for a picnic in the greenery, a lazy reading afternoon, or a good chat among friends. The guest garden of the park café with the children's playground is also excellent for a cozy stay. The blooming and green castle park offers plenty of space to relax and is a popular starting point for hikes. Here you can also find the outdoor classroom, the info station Hirschbirn hirsch’n as well as a root observation station that provides insights into the world of the plant organ "root".

Walk along the historical paths of the Augustinian Canons and enjoy contemplation and inner reflection. You can truly feel the healing effects of nature here and do something good for yourself in the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park.
