Rettenegg
The parish church of Rettenegg is dedicated to Saint Florian (patronage on May 4th).
Since the Middle Ages, Rettenegg belonged to the parish of Ratten.
After years of efforts to establish a parish in Rettenegg, construction of a church began in 1807. The land for the church, cemetery, rectory, school, garden, and meadows was a donation from tool manufacturer Josef Zeilinger. The construction of the church was interrupted several times due to the Napoleonic Wars and was only completed in 1833.
