Municipality Pöllauberg

Pöllauberg is known far beyond its borders and lies in the middle of the Nature Park Pöllau Valley. Because of its exposed location, it is rightfully known as the "sun and observation terrace of Eastern Styria". You can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the entire East Styrian countryside with its soft hills all the way to Slovenia and the Hungarian lowlands.

The municipality has an agrarian structure and around 2.200 inhabitants. The municipal territory encompassed 3.380 ha. In the south the altitude averages 427 meters and in the north, where the local mountain Masenberg rises, the altitude averages 1.261 meters.

170 farmers take care of the wonderful landscape. Around 50 small- to medium-sized businesses provide employment for many people of the region. We are especially proud of our outstanding gastronomy!
