It all started - as so often - with a dream. Josef Hutter Sr. decided, after the next swimming option seemed unreachable at that time, to build his own outdoor pool. In 1959, it was finally time, the Hutter Forest Pool opened its gates and has been known since then as "Hutterbod". Meanwhile, the Hutter family - in the third generation - operates a public outdoor pool, a guesthouse, an apartment house, and a campsite.

The outdoor pool is a swimming biotope with spring water of drinking quality without any chemical additives. The very good water quality is maintained through movement, the creation of waterfalls, a stream with shoreline vegetation that serves the function of a biological treatment plant, and the use of Grander technology.

The aim is to introduce the youngest to the natural product of water in all its forms of life. However, fun is not neglected. On the 54-meter-long water slide, at the diving tower, on the bouldering wall, and at the shaded playground, children can romp to their heart's content.
